Compass Minerals Engages Enstoa to Streamline Capital Program Management
We are pleased to announce Compass Minerals as a new client of Enstoa. As a leading producer and supplier of minerals in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, Compass Minerals was seeking to enhance their existing information delivery platform to better manage and support the organization’s growing capital project portfolio. Prior to embarking on any project work, a strategy and a detailed multi – year plan based on high level business requirements is critical. In June 2014, Compass Minerals engaged with Enstoa in a Sprint 0 to determine the appropriate strategy and plan for their organization.
The insights gathered from the Sprint 0 revealed that in order for Compass to make significant improvements to their capital project planning and execution, they needed: superior annual and quarterly financial forecasting, accurate month-end financial liability reporting, standardized processes to enable scalability of teams and operations, scheduling capability and executive reporting for portfolio and project roll-ups.
The Enstoa team determined that best course of action in order for Compass Minerals to meet these short-term and long-term business objectives included the following actions over the course of four 90-day Sprints:
- Deploy Primavera Unifier for project controls
- Implement P6 and Team Member for scheduling
- Integrate Unifier with JD Edwards using Enstoa Adapters
- Install Enstoa’s Panoptra for management reporting
In addition, a comprehensive Change Management and End User Training program was included in the plan to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
